Needs Projection Based on Demographics
In order to reflect the demographic diversity of the local community, Charter Schools should track demographic data and design programs that are responsive to the needs of the students.
Demographics consist of numbers and types of need for students who may have needs as:
- English Language Learners
- Students served by Special Education
- Students who score in the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) ranges
- Students with unique preferences and needs/behavior &/or low credits &/or low skills
- Middle School - Getting the right start toward academic proficiency to pass CAHSEE
- High School - student centered planning for transition to adult life
