Entry After-Hours

You are not allowed to enter Antelope View Charter School property after normal working hours for any reason without the express approval of administration.

Working After-Hours

For your own safety you are not allowed to be on campus alone after-hours. Staff who have keys and are authorized to alarm or deactivate the alarm for the school premises are cautioned to open the school buildings only according the scheduled work hours and work days unless permission is obtained from the Director for each occasion that does not conform to this expectation. Using the keys or knowledge of the alarm code to access the campus at any other time or for any other purpose without express permission from the Director will result in disciplinary action that may involve immediate termination of employment.

Managing Site-Based Activities

The creation of a Master Schedule is required in order to make the best use of available facilities. Due consideration must be given to providing instructional staff with a "home base" from which to work that includes an office with storage and a computer that will enable staff to be electronically linked to administration and to one another.

Consideration must be given to where students will eat lunch and what level of support will be provided to students with respect to obtaining food and beverages. While AVCS does not provide lunch and students are expected to bring a lunch and snack, we found it was necessary to host vending machines.

Consideration must be given to restroom supervision.

Consideration must be given to monitoring of students during transitions.

Site boundaries must be clearly delineated and students must be held accountable to remain within these boundaries if the campus is closed.

Consideration must be given to whether the school wishes to sponsor extra-curricular activities and field trips.
